A nice lady named Rachel Ng faxed me back a different Order Form, one that
is made for North American readers. The mailing charge is different from
what was printed on the first form that I faxed them. So I filled out the
North American form and faxed it back. My order is now in place.

music is in your CD right now?
I bought her 1995 CD, the title of which is ANITA - KO TSI LOY
(Singing for a Living) 2 weeks ago, until now I still can't get enough
of the BIG BAD GIRL song....it's an upbeat song and the melody is just
so good to the ear....And the other one is the NGOY SI MUT YUE TEY,
track 3.....she sang this in her 1995 concert.....I have a question:
When she came back in 1995, did she got any award in her singing
career? As I'm trying to complete my collection of all her albums, she
has so many beautiful songs aside from the Classic songs of hers in
the 1980's.....which I think were not given recognition? Correct me if
I'm wrong.

refer to the memorial booklet given out at funeral service, that you

Hi Woodstock!! Thanks for your reply and guidance to where to find the
awards that was bestowed to Anita in the Music area.....though I
cannot understand what kind of award she got, just a glimpse of the
year and how many awards she got during a certain year already gives
me an idea of the honor she received.....But I just remember it now, I
read somewhere that around 1992 she announced that she will not be
receiving any more awards in music to give chance for other singers,
maybe that is also the reason why her music, when she came back from
her hiatus, was not given recognition. Is it? What do you think?

You are correct that she did announce that she would not accept any
award in music. That was in 1991.
Then she was not given any award for any particular song except the
duet with Jacky Cheung "Difficult to love each other" -
"the most welcome Karaoke" award in 2003. But almost every
year since then she was given some special honors in one or more award
presentations (except 1996, 1997 and 2002).
BTW, her "Woman Heart" got "the best theme song for
movie" in 1993 at the 12th HK Film Academy.
Besides those songs for which she got awards, actually there are so
many songs that were excellently performed. So every time if yoou
listen back to her old albums you will find new surprises, because you
might discover certain song or songs that you are not famaliarm with,
but are such a wonderful and beautiful song, such as Big Bad Girl you
mentioned previously. She could perform every song so well in her own
way with feeling, that can easily bring echo from the audience. That
is why she is such an outstanding singer. Also I like her voice so
much, that is one of the main reasons I was attracted to her in the
early days.
Since she had sung so many songs, and she got so many albums, and many
songs I am not too famaliar with, I can try to concentrate on those
songs and get famaliar with them, that can already last me the rest of
my life.

yes, I agree with you she has so many beautiful songs and just like
you I set aside her classic songs for now cause I'm into her 1990's
album which are all very, very refreshing and new to my ears and which
are all very, very beautiful too especially with her powerful
voice.....I was even surprised to listen to a song which is the theme
song of an animated TV show from Japan, cause her voice is very
different and she sang it in high pitch....but well performed!!!

I was once very very
with Anita's mother, Mui Ma and I scolded and
at her as harsh as I could think of. After that, my anger
subsided. I began to think who am I to judge her, who am I to be
angry at her, who am I to hate her, when I have not even seen or
met her in person.
We need to give her some time and if possible, fans to visit her
often. She is more of the possessive and jealous type who will not
allow others to touch on her daughter's wealth and who is not
happy to have Mrs Ho as Anita's Kai Ma. I'm sure all parents will
not be happy to see love for their offsprings be shared with other
adopted parents.
She could not accept the reality and to realize the beneficial
side of why Anita entrusted her will to a bank agent instead of
giving all to Mui Ma. Anita is so thoughtful and always care for
her mum, I think Mui Ma needs more time to accept the fate. But
I'm afraid judging by her age, she may not be able to achieve the
forgiving level on time.
Here I'm doing little kindness, to show my concern and sympathy
for Anita's mother.

caring hearts to guide me through. I want Love, not Hate.

Buddhist religion, I remember back that it's saying the person

All of you are so sweet that you think about Mui Ma too and try to
forgive her. Even though some of the things she said and did were
not acceptable, I kept on reminding myself that we don't know the
whole story behind, there must be a cause too. Just like the
opening of Star Walk, why the organizer could not invite her in
the first place? As from the previous occassion, they should know
she cares, wants to be invited, so why not give her the honor as
the mother of Anita Mui, who she is proud of. She spoke outrageous
things only at the interview when she was provoked by the
reporters by those questions on unpleasant topics. Otherwise she
would not bring disgrace to the whole function. She always dresses
herself properly and won't offer to talk if she is not asked. She
knows etiquette.
I always remember Mui mentioned that she inherited her stubborness
from her mother. So remember to tame the stubbron people, you have
to use different tactics, "use SOFT to contorl HARD". No
use to scold Mui Ma all the time, she will only get worse as she
is defiant, so just soft talk to her, she might listen.
Also I think we should remember we are only FANS, know our stand.
Don't get involved in her family business. During her life, Mui
never discuss her personal or private family business with her
fans, so what right we have now? To protect her reputation? I'm
afraid we only bring her disgrace. We are not in the position to
judge after all. Get involved only will make the whole situation
worse and brought more laughter to the whole incident. Silence is
golden in such case.

There is no such name as Woodstick and I'm pretty sure you got

Just for Mother's Day, I think we should remember that there was
once a romance between Mui Ma and Mui Pa, that could have been
every bit as exciting and dramatic as one of Ah Mui's films, and
resulted in creating Anita's cute face, "slinky built"
(that's my favourite quote of all time, thanks!) and everything
else we love about her that she didn't bring with her from her
last life; and we could imagine all kinds of happy times taking
place, growing up in Ma and Pa's bar, things to sing about. This
is when Mui Ma's real work was done, let's honor her for this. I
wouldn't want anyone to think they should go back in time and
change Mui Ma for another ma, just because of what she's doing now
when she's in her eighties.

Obviously Mui Mah has the GREATEST CREDITS; Without her, Anita
never can exist! If Mui Pah chooses another woman...Anita will
never be the same!
Just a thought...None of us can choose our family members or
destiny... it's a tough topic to discuss about credits or
demerits. Maybe if Mui Papa is rich.. that would have changed Mui
Mah attitude and hunger for financial security, thus affecting our
Anita's life. By the way, folks of Mui Mah's generation has a
strong tendency to associate security with $$$ because that's
practical approach and they are poor in expressing their feelings
being Asians.
Whatever Mui Mah does...she doesn't seem like a happy
person...especially "Bak Fatt Yan Song Hak Tao Yan"...let's
accept her like Mui has.....cheers

add, good time to cast is also during 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm....thanks
Audrey for the info. And one more, I guess you noticed that on the
right hand side where there's the percentages of votes, they
actually represents the FREQUENCY OF THE VOTES BEING CAST, so lets
say for now we got 32.1%, if there are no votes added to Anita,
while there are votes on the other parties then our percentages
would go down and it's scaring me cause it might be there basis
for choosing the winner.....so I guess, we all have to double time
and cast as many votes as we can during the day....and mind you
Coco Lee's fans are adding 600 to 800 votes PER DAY! Tough act to
follow if we won't cooperate.....

BY THE WAY, THE 7:00 PM TO 9:30 PM IS Hongkong time.....And if I
may, you could also vote around 1:00 am to 2:30 am with ease

Very happy, I could non-stop voting from 9:30pm HK time till
9:50pm, already 33% ! I'm totally agree with Woodstock, we are
voting for her work, it is number ONE forever !
Voting on HK time 5pm is also not difficult !
